District 14 HC

District 14 is like nothing anybody has seen before.

The sleek designs of buildings and the quality of technology have made District 14 much more advanced than the Capitol. Of course, District 14 used to be part of Panem. It used to be the Capitol’s favourite district, before the rebellion and before the Hunger Games, because it was so small and reliant on the Capitol. But then the president of that time decided to carry out small development plans on District 14, sure that this district wouldn’t rebel against the almighty Capitol. But he was wrong.

After decades of building new facilities secretly, District 14 came to realise that they didn’t have to be the Capitol’s pet project. And so the very first rebellion of Panem began. Of course, this was never known to anyone else in Panem. The district was so small it didn’t stand a chance against the Capitol.

However, District 14 still stands. The president couldn’t bear to have all his efforts destroyed so District 14 was cut off from the rest of the world. It stands as a magnificent piece of sculpture, created and admired by the Capitol. The president demanded a force field to be made to ensure no one trespasses into District 14. Everything was fine, until a little boy and a little girl found the glitch in the force field.

And told their son, who told the mockingjay.

Boom

I am in love with the word "boom" at the moment. I woke up this morning with the word "boom" in my head and immediately thought of the Hunger Games for some odd reason. Anyway, I spent a few minutes writing a headcannon (I was late for school, too) and here it is. It's my second headcannon ever.

Boom.
The sound of an explosion jolted Katniss awake. There were no screams tonight, but Katniss's sudden movement caused Peeta, who was lying right by her side, to sit up almost immediately. He was always alert, always there for her. He asked her what was wrong. But instead of telling him about how she dreamt of him strangling her when he was hijacked and how the sounds of explosions just wouldn't leave her alone, Katniss wrapped her arms around Peeta and said, "Don't ever leave me again."

I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE.
Does this make me a Capitol citizen? Because Capitol people are excited by the Hunger Games. I'm totally from District 8!!

I really don't like how they cut Madge out of the Hunger Games movie. That really sucks. I liked her. But I'm looking forward to see how Lionsgate twists this around. AND HOW COULD SUZANNE COLLINS LET THIS HAPPEN?

My First Headcannon

President Snow was always alone. All of Panem saw him as a cold-hearted man who drove his people's children to their death or insanity. But no one knew the real story behind him. Before he became president of Panem, he was married to a young woman, whom he loved very much. When he became president, the rebellion began - and he panicked. He agreed to the Hunger Games. He watched as children battled in arenas, blood everywhere. Everything was in his control. But his wife was scared. She couldn't handle the fact his husband had sent children of his country into doom. She became insane and Snow locked her up. He couldn't bear the screaming anymore. He knew the only reason why he never had any children was because he didn't want them growing up to see the bloodbath. He didn't want them asking him why it's all happening. So Snow was always alone, and he regretted every moment of his reign until the day he died.

Hey guys. I wanted to share with you:
So I made myself a mockingjay necklace! I don't take credit for designing it. I got the inspriation off someone else but I can't remember what website it was. It was really fiddly to make because the wire wouldn't stick and glue went everywhere etc.
Below that is the drawing of District 3 and its symbol. I did all the other districts too but this one turned out better with the effect I put on all the drawings to make it clearer. Theres one district on each page of my school diary. My form tutor is going to be so confused when she sees it when I go back to school. I'm currently on study leave at the moment.
Anyway, I hope you liked me sharing these with you!

Hello people of Panem.

I thought I'd give you a tour of this HG blog. It's probably one of my best-designed ones. On the side bar you can see my welcome message, a picture a true (slightly slanted because my camera skills just wasn't up to its usual standards), a view-counter thingy, a Peeta poster (Peeta!!!<3), a video bar so you can view any HG-related videos on YouTube, a HG film poster (I can't wait until March 23rd!!!), and a survey thing which you should totally answer and stuff!

Sometimes I'll post a post to say hi, or a Fanfic or something totally relevant.

So that's the tour of my recently-created blog and I hope this will be a success!
